Plan Your Year
The anti-hustle business planner for humans, especially loved by humans with ADHD!
The anti-hustle business planner for humans, especially loved by humans with ADHD!
You want a plan that makes space for afternoon naps, new hobbies, AND all the product, content, and admin tasks that move your business forward.
You’ve tried long-term planning for quarters or a whole year before, but when things change and you don’t stick to the plan, you feel like maybe you’re just not a planner or planning too far in advance just doesn’t work.
And it’s not for lack of trying different planners. You’ve done the big-name planners, paper planners, the post-its on the wall, but they were either too inflexible (don’t box me in!) or had you adding too much to your plate...and they often went unused or forgotten by February, because they didn’t really work for YOUR brain (are ALL planners created by neurotypicals? It seems so).
💥 Make a plan that *expects* you to need downtime for your life so you’re not constantly re-working your schedule and feeling behind
💥 Hit your revenue goals by planning your best path toward them with the most impactful content, products, and admin tasks for you
💥 Learn a simple 8-step process that even “non-planners” can use to make a plan that works for you, even when things inevitably change, because it's built to get you back on track easily
💥 Create a flexible plan, with as much (or as little) detail feels right for you, with wiggle room to add to or rework as needed
When I first started this business, I was juggling it with my 9-5 (where I streamlined my teams’ processes and created training materials to support them with the changes) and momming my baby who was sick all the time from daycare. I never knew when I’d actually be able to work on anything, but I had so much I wanted to do.
I developed this Trello board and planning process to help me visualize all the steps I’d need to take to hit my business goals and figure out when I could actually get them done, even with unexpected downtime, our regular family vacations, and only about 10 hours a week available for my business. That clarity helped me weed out the less-impactful tasks that I just didn’t have time for.
This planning process proved flexible enough to change as things came up (as they always will), and helped me know just what to focus on when I finally did get 30 minutes or an hour to work.
“Plan Your Year has helped me so much with getting clarity. It helped me understand how I can do everything I want, just one step at a time, and really let it move forward instead of putting it on the shelf and waiting until there’s a lot of free time. Because there’s never a lot of free time.
When I write down all the things I want to do in my journal it just doesn’t do the same thing for me as these cards. I really appreciate how I can SEE differently on Trello and I appreciate the flexibility within Plan Your Year.”

Unlike other planners, this is not about adding, adding, adding to your to-do list for the sake of filling out all the boxes. Plan Your Year celebrates downtime over hustle and helps you make a more realistic, more impactful business plan that works for YOU (even if your Rebel/ADHD-brain has never liked other planners).
This planning process saves you time! Most students build their whole plan in about 3-4 hours, and report spending even less time the following year or whenever they come back to it for a pivot. With this process, change doesn’t throw you for a loop or make you fall behind on your plans, you know exactly what to do to get back on track quickly.
Plan Your Year is flexible, in how you want it to look, where you access it (on Trello or your own favorite project management tool; on your phone, tablet, or desktop!), and how much detail you care to plan out. The structure is open-ended. You can make it look and function however works best for you!
“I revisited Plan Your Year a few times to redesign and make a pivot midsummer [2020] to ensure I was incorporating an anti-racist focus on how I spent my time.
It’s comforting to know that it’s there like a map to reference when I find myself in a new neighborhood.”
“Plan Your Year is super easy to use, the instructions are really clear, the product is so well designed, and it literally makes it possible to plan your entire year in a matter of minutes which is incredible as a time-pressed mom.
I’ve even created a monthly and annual ritual around using the Plan Your Year method and shared the program with my students.”
“With other planners, I’d use it for a couple months then lose/forget about it. Having this plan available on my iPad that I use daily when I work was super helpful.
It was super easy to use Plan Your Year even though last year at this time was very hectic. And I liked that I could change things as I went along instead of things being set in stone.
This is the most flexible planning tool I’ve used, which is most important for me because I’m both chaotic in my own work style and parenting young children.”
Immediately upon purchase, you’ll be given access to Plan Your Year on Teachable where you can view and download the Plan Your Year PDF Guide. Inside the PDF you’ll find links to the Trello board templates, along with a quick training video, a guide for adapting your plan to your personality type, and the Plan Your Year checklist.
Just a few hours (or some 15-minute bursts of focus) and either a free Trello account, or your favorite project management software or paper planner.
Yes, it’s so worth it! Planning is the key to finding space for your whole life along with your impactful business.
Planning ahead saves time because when you know what you need to do, you can spend less time figuring out what to do and more time doing.
The further ahead you can plan, the more big-picture clarity you get. You need clarity to make sure you are taking only strategic action on your most impactful tasks.
When you know what you need to do (because clarity), you can then more easily make the time to get those strategic tasks done.
When things inevitably change, you can pivot just that part of the plan to quickly craft your new strategy.
